The roadtrip up from Florida was a success – huzzah! We made two overnight stops and only lost each other twice, but only briefly (I’d like to take this moment to thank the inventors of the TomTom and the iPhone). Mr. G and I are settling into our new surroundings, though we kind of feel like we’re on our usual summer vacation. Reality slips in and out as we juggle job interviews with leisurely walks through our new hometown. This is a seriously gorgeous city with tons to offer. I’m looking forward to becoming a new Bostonian!
These business cards are a redesign for Fusion Media, a sister company of Meg Baisden Photography. This design offers a fresh approach to how the information is presented. Since Charles is so well-connected within the social media arena, I wanted to make sure that when someone receives his business cards, they’re able to contact him conventionally (by phone) or otherwise (the interweb)!
Typography is (obviously) a very significant part of graphic design and for those of us that are detail-oriented, I’d like to share this indispensable tool with you. What the Font is an *awesome* resource to determine the name of a font if you’re stumped.
Weezer has been my *favorite* band since I was 13. I have and love all of their albums and I’ve been able to see them in concert multiple times. Sadly they came to Florida TWICE this year and I missed them both times. I’m hoping to see them play at the The Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn on July 16th. What a wonderful birthday gift that would be for me – hint hint, Mr. G!
Hope you’re having a Radilicious birthday, Rivers!
Continue Reading...Today is bittersweet. I am leaving the Sunshine State for the Bay State and truth be told, I’m sad. I’ve been accustomed to moves since my dad was in the Navy for most of my childhood and we hopped all over the world, but Florida has been my home for the last 20 years. I finished grade school here, I went to college in the vacation capital of the world, met Mr. G and eloped on a South Florida beach, and I’ve explored this [huge] state from end (Pensacola) to end (Key West). I definitely enjoyed my stay and I will miss it here.
Exciting times and new adventures do lie ahead! Our caravan hits the road soon and we’ll be making a few stops along the way, but Boston: we’re a-comin’!!

Colorstrology is a fascinating blend of astrology, numerology, and color theory that offers exciting insights about our lives and relationships. The book features 366 “birthday colors” that illustrate who we are and how we behave, complete with Pantone color codes for reference. It also includes 366 perforated swatches so you can take your birthday color wherever you go.
I find the zodiac and astrology thing kind of interesting and at the very least, entertaining. I loved that this book that put a design ’spin’ to it all. Just for fun at a family gathering, I gave each person a Colorstrology reading and it was actually quite insightful and made for good conversation. I also use the book for inspiration for design projects – on the computer and in the home. The site also offers free e-cards so you can send a friend their birthday color.
